Elliott wanted a Blippi themed party. Blippi is an American children's entertainer and educator on YouTube and Amazon Video. The Blippi videos are intended to be educational and appeal to young children, The Blippi character is portrayed with a childlike, energetic and curious persona; always dressed with his blue and orange beanie cap, blue shirt, orange suspenders and a bow tie.

2019/08/12 08:00 Lake house living for two weeks.

2019/07/21 15:30 I got a 7 foot turbo tube slide for the rugrats. It feels like it's over 100 degrees today and working in that heat I feel like I built more than I did. Not gonna finish today.

2019/08/07 12:00 Elliott and I were in the van. He asked if we could play the joke game to pass the time. Sure, how do you play? You tell a joke and if you don’t get it wrong then you get a point. Elliott went first.
Q. What do you call a banana that is not being eaten by a monkey?
A. Concrete.
It seems the only way to get a joke wrong is to tell a joke where the punchline is not concrete.
Q. Why did the chicken cross the road?
A. Concrete.
That’s good for a point. The points actually aren’t that important because Elliott is going to win no matter what.

Haven't got the tube slide together yet. Didn't stop Grant from going through it.

2019/07/27 21:00 Smores later.

2019/08/06 13:00 Planted a new section of grass today.

2019/07/29 16:30 Wow. Changes.

2019/07/27 17:00 Spent the day at Roseland Waterpark.

Branching out. Dog sitting now too.

Pumpkin flower.

I made a landing pad for the slide and I planted another section of grass.

2019/07/23 10:30 Went downtown to pay taxes. Took the Granty baby hoping for a cuteness discount. I guess that isn't a thing anymore.

Karen took over taking care of the pool this year. She is doing a way better job than I ever did.

2019/07/27 22:00 Water park today and then a fire with Smores this evening. The rugrats will sleep tonight.

This latest iteration of my rants and rambles will still be much like past versions. I will continue to share way too much information. I will continue to be as weird as always. I am most likely still incredibly boring.

2019/07/20 16:00 Today was Elliott's birthday party.

2019/08/01 13:30 Adison and I took Elliott to the movies. "Toy Story 4". His first time at the movies! He didn't sit still or understand how to whisper but he sure enjoyed himself! (Woody and Buzz had a great time as well)

2019/07/30 12:00 Picked up my grandkids Elliott and Grant to take them to lunch. Elliott said "Pop, it was a mistake to bring Grant. He just makes a mess".

2019/08/13 18:00 At the Lake house on Otisco Lake.

Dog Days of Summer?
"Some say that it signifies hot sultry days “not fit for a dog,” others suggest it’s the weather in which dogs go mad. The Dog Days of Summer describes the most oppressive period of summer, between July 3rd and August 11th each year. But where did the term come from? And what does it have to do with dogs?
The phrase is actually a reference to the fact that, during this time, the Sun occupies the same region of the sky as Sirius, the brightest star visible from any part of Earth and part of the constellation Canis Major, the Greater Dog. This is why Sirius is sometimes called the Dog Star.
In the summer, Sirius rises and sets with the Sun. On July 23rd, specifically, it is in conjunction with the Sun, and because the star is so bright, the ancient Romans believed it actually gave off heat and added to the Sun’s warmth, accounting for the long stretch of sultry weather. They referred to this time as diēs caniculārēs, or “dog days.”
Thus, the term Dog Days of Summer came to mean the 20 days before and 20 days after this alignment of Sirius with the Sun—July 3 to Aug. 11."
